In our new Team Member Q&A series, we’re shining a spotlight on the individuals who make this such a special place to call home. We’re excited to introduce Community Director Faye Lorntz, a valued member of our team. In this feature, Faye shares insight into her role and background, her favorite amenities, and what she believes makes our 55+ community truly one of a kind.
Q: What’s your role at Choreograph Gainesville, and how long have you been part of the team?
A: I am Choreograph’s Community Director and I started in September 2024.
Q: What inspired you to work in this industry?
A: I was raised by a wonderful family who believed in the sanctity of grandparents and great grandparents. However, my entire career has been spent in resort management, hotel management, and corporate relocation management. So, I have made sure that if I wasn’t working with seniors that I would volunteer for them. I have been a member of Meals on Wheels for 27 years and I served on the board for two years. I have also been a member of “Wish of a Lifetime” out of Denver, Colorado, for almost 15 years that makes wishes come true for seniors. Additionally, I’ve also been a ministry leader for seniors; my ministry was called “Ministry of Presence.”
Q: What’s your favorite part about working with residents here?
A: I truly enjoy seeing them flourish, excited and happy about how they spend their days with us here at Choreograph. It is such a wonderful thing to see.
Q: What do you think makes Choreograph Gainesville unique compared to other 55+ communities?
A: Our activities and our staff. Discovery Senior Living wanted Choreograph to excel on top- notch service and activities to keep our residents active and happy and I believe we have delivered on that!
Q: What’s one amenity or feature here you wish everyone could experience?
A: Our residents live for the nights that we bring bands in. They LOVE to dance and some even bring their own instruments and join in on the singing and music!
Q: If you were a resident at Choreograph Gainesville, how would you spend your days?
A: I would live at the pool. 😊
Q: What has been your favorite event or activity you’ve hosted so far?
A: Any of our band nights rank right up there! However, our activities off property are a huge hit also like kayaking, airboat rides, trips to the zoo, etc.
Q: Where’s your go-to place for a great meal at Celebration Pointe?
A: There are so many restaurants to choose from, but you cannot beat appetizers at Spurrier’s or the Mama Fiesta Bowl at Miller’s Ale House.
Q: What’s your favorite Gainesville spot or local hidden gem?
A: Choreograph Gainesville! 😊

A: Fun, Caring, Growing!
